I purchased a new 2011 Artic Cat f8 from Artic Adventures in Rosendale NY on 10/23/10. I had nothing but problems the 1st year, and it took Artic Cat over 1 year to figure out the recall losing the entire season.By the end of the 2011 season I was ready to return the sled, and met another Artic Cat dealer called Northside Artic Cat who reenergized my confidence in the Artic Cat brand. The owner CJ took over the service of my sled and finally had it running the way it was intended. He was outstanding but unfortunately he passed away in Sept.in Jan I took out the sled for the 1st time and had a problem with the starter that was addressed by both Artic Adventures and Northside Artic Cat. I was confused as to why this problem kept occuring. I spoke to an ex-employee of Northside, who advised me to contact Artic Cat Corporate because they had taken all products and documents from Northside back to there HQ. I just needed to know what work was last performed, all receipts and parts were left Northside dealership. I contacted Artic Cat Inc customer service dept more than 5 times to ask them a simple question as to "what happens when a dealership has to close down suddenly because of a tragic death?" Not one person from the Artic Cat customer service dept thought enough of me to call me back. I just needed to access my warranty and service records that were lost when the dealership closed. I fixed the problem using another repair shop, and later found out it was a warranty issue. I would have known that if someone had cared enough to return one of my several calls.
