Believed I was purchasing a Blue Ray DVD of the Movie"Django". When I took it home to view, discovered that this was a preorder through "VUDU" for setting up an account to view the movie by submitting a preorder number. As I have had great difficulty with "VUDU" in the past, and there was a delay in getting the DVD in the mail, I went to Walmart to return the preorder for a refund. I was told that this was impossible, as this is a "VUDU" preorder which was prominently advertised. This was not prominently advertised, as it was on the shelf with other DVD's, which I'm sure was the intent of "VUDU" through Walmart, to get underhanded subscriptions.
This is an underhanded way of having consumers subscribe to "VUDU". Thirdly, this is a method for taking the consumers' money without giving the consumer a choice. Therefore, I feel it only fair that consumers be warned of this practice, and that the DVD should be in the cover as advertised, giving the consumer the choice of subscribing to "VUDU" without the trick. Thirdly, it is beyond my understanding as to how it is impossible that the customer cannot get a refund upon return of the preorder packet. Essentially, that constitutes legal robbery.
