I received a call stating that I had been selected for a US Federal Reserve Grant from Washington. The man sounded very professional but had an accent. He said that I would never have to pay the money back or claim it on my taxes as long as I did not use the money to gamble or purchase drugs. He asked me for my bank account number to access my grant money of $8,500.00 into my account. Unfortunately I have him my account number because everything sounded legit and as hard as times are I could use the money. It was not until I gave him my account number until things became a little fishy. I had to hang up immediately and call his supervisor with a confirmation code. I was to contact Annie Johnson at 206-249-7282. She reviewed the same information and then told me that I would have to wire $285.00 in order to receive my $8,500.00 of grant money. She said that the money wired would go to a charity. I don't have hardly any money in my account but I will have to get my account number changed. What a hassle!!!
