Refund? Really?

I own an older model Tappan electric stove. The numbers were wearing off and I thought I'd upgrade them. I chatted with ApplianceZone a couple of times before ordering. It seemed that they could not see any more of the item than I could. When I questioned that, they advised me to order and see if they fit, if not, I could return them. So, stupid me did just that, As soon as the new knobs arrived, I could tell they would not work on my old stove. I immediately contacted them and filled out the return form. Mailed it back the next day out of my pocket. They proceeded to tell me how long it could be before my bank would receive credit. The warehouse had to inspect the return first and that would take 1-2 wks, and if accepted, another 2 wks.
Why is it when you place an order, the money is taken from your billing information within minutes and a refund takes 7-10 business days plus?!?
When I finally received my refund, the shipping charge was not refunded with the actual price of the part. After going back and forth with emails, they finally told me they don't refund the shipping.in the end, I lost money. I should have kept the part and saved myself a lot of stress.
Do not do business with this company! No matter how much you think you are saving, you"ll lose in the long run!!!
