Starting in about June we started reciving electric bills of $0 an were told we had paid to much and accually had a credit on the account. Also at this time I was on the electric help program call cap assistance. I was reciving $104 towards every electric bill because I am disabled and on ssd. Then in the month of January I recived a bill for est $800 and was outraged when i called Met ed there response was well i was not supposed to be getting $0 bills or credit I should have been paying a higher elctric bill especially in the colder months. Another thing I noticed is that they are supposed to usually do estimated readings every other month, and my bill was estimated 6 out of the last 9 months some times 3 months in a row. Now Met ed is saying that even though they made the mistake I am responsible for repaying this est $800 electric bill in one month. I have been arguing and getting no help from them for 3 months now and explaining that I am on disability and they knew that in the beginning and there is no way I can come up with that amount. There answer is "Well I don't know what to tell you". Also because of this mistake the cap program goes back every 6 months to reevaluate your bills to make adjustments in your help, well because met ed screwed up and sent me $0 dollar bills now my cap program has been cut to an even lower amount.
