In mid-December I received a phone call from the academy. The call was from Dr. Penny Chen. She wanted to know all about me and how badly I needed to attend. When I finished talking to her, she said, they would be a huge help to me, as they had all the know-how and equipment I would ever require. I had no money but she told me that was not a problem, they help with financial problems. I assumed she meant I would be eligible for a grant. I was contacted by a Monterey Financial Services in California. I was advised that MMI had contacted them re fin-
ancing. They were willing to but that I was to understand that this is a non-cancellable con-
tract. I signed the papers and made a payment
before I heard from the school again. A mentor
called and stammered around for about 10 mins. And said he would call the following Wed. @ 9 am. The teaching was about becoming a seller on Ebay. He called and we talked for a few mins. I was having a problem getting a photo into my ad
and we talked about that a bit. He didn't know
what I should do. One Wed. He called and had a couple of ideas, I tried them, no success. I kept trying, to no avail. One day in Feb. He called and said that my personal mentoring had come to an end. I said, even though I don't have an ad in yet? He said " we solved the problem on the last call." We did not solve anything. I have not heard a word from the school since that time and I only have a number for the coach. He said just go on as you have been. Read the lessons. If I only wanted to read about
it, I could have done that on EBay for free. Six wks. Of lessons (loosely) $3500 seems wrong to me. A year is what I was told. I am angry & extremely frustrated as I thought I'd finally found a good and honest school. I wrote to 4 executives and explained my case. They've never even written back to me.
