My wife needs an updated "green" card (after being in America since 1975); I 1st went to the offical gov't website and discovered it was going to cost $450.00 to renew. I felt, man, that's a bit much, so I went to the "US-Immigration.com" website that stated $149.00. Dumkoof. I was thinking this is much less than $450.00 and proceeded to charge the card for the $149.00. Of course, the next link offered (after the charge was assessed) was the 1st link I went to in the first inquiry; the official $450.00 PLUS the totally unrequired (and uncollectable by the gov't) $149.00. The $149.00 is just a nice place to pay nothing for other than the realization that you've just been hoaxed.
