After months of trying to get all the requested documents (they kept adding more and more that theysaid were needed), I finally received partial documents that I had to send off to Nation Star Mortgage Company. Nation Star declined the loan modification.
I sent a copy of the letter indicating that my loan had been declined to Newport Mortgage Relief. I had one email indicating that they received it. I have called them every day for the past three plus weeks and have received no phone call or email from them.
I am trying to recover the money that I paid them. It was supposed to be returned to me if the loan modiication was declined.
I have attempted to get response from them. At this point I question whether they will finally refund my money without contacting the State Attorney's office or other place that can assist me.
It seems to me that this is a scam. I would like to be proved wrong.
