A Solicitor came to my door selling magazine subscriptions.
A young man by the name of Justin G. (if that really was his name) playing on my sympathies with a sob sally story about his hard life and down on his luck day spent 30 min. Going on and on about how this gave him an oportunity to make money while traveling the country. I tried several times to turn him down and he was to say the least pushy and persistant, so I allowed him to come in and I bought a subscription for Parent and Child.in retrospect I think it was just to hasten him out of my house. I did not get a good feeling from him and couldn't get over the feeling he was probably casing the house. I digress.
I paid him and have not seen my magazine. It is now February 19.
Dispite calling and e-mailing every week since January I have never received a call back or an email, nor have I yet to see one magazine.
I am upset, guilty, and I feel stupid that I spent monies that could have gone to better use especially since he came just before the holidays.
