Yesterday someone called me and introduced himself as a supervisor of the REDEMPTION CENTER in MONTREAL, QUEBEC. He also said I'm an active user of my card so I began thinking which one. He told me I will also receive a PREFERRED PACKAGE? The package was $100 GAS VOUCHERS and AIRLINE TICKET VOUCHER. Along with it are discount programs and told me I could cancel them if I don't like them and still keep the vouchers for 1 year.
I ask him if where did he get my information but he couldn't provide me with a satisfying answer. He told me that he doesn't have that kind of information and told me that they only handle preferred customers like myself. Lol. Thou I don't really believe most of the things he said, I still listened to him and did not disturb him as a sign of respect. I mean this guy was just doing his job.
Now here comes the funny part, he told me in order to receive my vouchers and discount programs, I only have to pay for the shipping fee which is $1.95 for each vouchers, so it with be a total of $3.90 for both vouchers. I thought everything was free LOL. Then he started asking for my credit card information. Of course I said a solid NO as an answer. That's the part where he got really persistent on getting my card info. "I'm not asking for the CV2 card number which is the most important piece of information of your card, we are only asking for the expiration date and 16 digit card number". I still said no of course haha.
I believe this is a big scam that we should be aware of. Never give your card numbers over the phone because no matter what they say, there's is still a chance it could leak and might abuse your card information.
There's always a catch even if they say that there's not. Beware of savers city and holiday savers.
