Insider shopping/Magazine Discount Co. Contacted my cell phone. They said that if I sign up for this free trial, that I would get a Free Air Fair voucher for a round trip to Hawaii, and a $50.00 Restaurant Voucher, where I can go to hundreds of different restaurant facilities and use it, like McDonalds, etc. They said the only charge would be like, $4.95 to mail me my informational package and the vouchers. I would have a week to call and cancel if I didn't want the services, but that the air fair and restaurant vouchers were my gifts for trying their services out. I said okay.
It took a few weeks, and then I got the package. I signed both vouchers, and mailed them back, and they said I would receive the actual vouchers in a few more weeks. I waited and waited, and I never got anything back.
I noticed that on my next bank statement, there was another charge of $2.95. I called them and they told me that the 2 companies are different, and so since there were 2 packages, there were 2 charges, even though they never told me about the second charge. I was upset, but I was expecting the 2 vouchers.
I had gotten 2 envelopes from insider shopping, and they said that the vouchers were inside, but they weren't. It made it seem like I had to go online, and enter this pin in, and then the voucher would then be mailed to me... Well, I went to the website, and there wasn't an option for that! Not to mention, in the second envelope, I was expecting the air fair voucher, instead, it was another restaurant voucher, which wasn't even there!
So all together, I was charged about $8.00 in total, not that much, but still. The company promised me the $50.00 Restaurant voucher, which was never really coming, and then they promised me the air fair voucher, which instead of that, I got another restaurant voucher, which again, wasn't really there. This was all a SCAM!!! I canceled my account, and no further charges were taken. I made sure of that!
