I chose a gastroentrologist Dr Pasternak who's office is located at 187 Veterans Blvd, Massapequa park New York 11758, who was within network. After my colonscopy was done, later on I got a bill thinking it was an error cause I chose my Dr. Within network. Later on I received a called from a lawyer stating that there client ambulatory Medical servic is looking for payment of $2,700 dollars for the Anesthesia at Dr. Pasternak office. I called the insurance company up to find out that the Anesthesiologist was out of net work. My complaint is why was I not notified before the procedure was done that the anesthesiologist was out of network. I called the insurance company, they stated it was too late for them to help me out after one hundred and eighty days has passed. Now I am being sued and my bank account is frozen. I have no access to money and cannot pay my bills and buy food for my two young boys, because this doctor failed to tell me the company performing the anesthesia was out of net work. This is not right. I feel this is a scam. If someone would had told me in the beginning that I would need to pay 3,000 dollars to put me under, I would have went somewhere else.
