Like everyone else I had a phone call this morning (7th Feb) to say that I had been selected to participate in a holiday to Orlando, Florida for 7 days, 6 nights to be followed by a cruise to the Bahamas on Carnival Line.
I was quoted that it was applicable for 4 people and it would cost $676.00 AUD plus $299.00US per person for the cruise.
They phoned me on my mobile for almost 23 minutes and when they asked for details of my credit card I told them that I wouldn't do that over the phone. They had said that an email would follow (they had my email address correct) and my mailing address. The caller became quite irrate when I said it was not my practice to give details of my credit card over the phone. The person then said that they would pass this offer on to someone else and I thankfully agreed to that fact and they terminated the call. Thankfully I have now discovered this on Scambook and very pleased I didn't get sucked in.
