The "Going Postal" store in Thomaston, GA is anything but "your friendly neighborhood store." When I went for the first time to mail something by UPS, I was not told how to prepare the shipping label even though I had asked. When I pulled the three-ply label apart to keep the shipper's copy of the label, the man in the store acted as though I had committed a federal crime even though there was no problem mailing it. When I hinted that I wished he had told me. He said, "Well, you just started ripping."
Then the lady said, "
Who is it that doesn't know how to fill out the shipping label?" I thought this was unnecessary and very poor customer relations. When I told my neighbors about it, I discovered that
people here drive all the way to the Griffin store to avoid these two in
Thomaston. Also, my daughter who lives next door to me, is a sales rep and has a lot of shipping to do. She goes to Pak Mail in Peachtree City where she gets good service.
Something should be done about the Thomaton store to make it more user friendly. I have heard many complaints.
