Scam:
Thought I was calling Comfort Inn Suites to make a reservation (used number on the website off of Google maps). They posed as Comfort Inn Suites. They did not identify themselves as a third party. They quoted me the government rate, took my credit card number (which I thought I was using to just secure the room) and immediately charged it - $25.84 more than I should have been charged. They did not send me a reservation confirmation or receipt by e-mail as they said they would - they did collect my e-mail address. When I got to the hotel to get a receipt, they said it had already been paid by Expedia. $63.20 was what they were paid for the room, the correct rate (This company is not Expedia).
I called to dispute the charge on my credit card. Credit card company said services had been rendered so couldn't get refund. I called the business number on statement and they had no address or contact information for their own company. Couldn't refund me the difference in rates. Gave me a website resolution number that was the same number I had just called. "Walter", Rose's manager said that he was at call center in El Salvador and had no other contact information for anybody at the company that he told me was located in the U.S. I am at a dead end.
