I was sold an Amazon.com affiliate marketing program by a Mr. Richard Love of CORPORATE EDGE ALLIANC SALT LAKE CIT UT who claimed he was calling from California. The promise was a web site to be built in 3 days with a domain name, free hosting and a business assistant to help set up the program. I was told my total investment was to be $449.00 US which included a $50 processing fee (???). Their number is 1-888-2445-7321 which now seems to be a answering service.
A week went by, there was no contact until I called several times today (January 29th). A gentleman from Astrastore.com called (Mark Jacobs) at 1-877-846-6269 called to give me some basic information but said he would have his senior Marketing director Michael Ellis call me back to explain the details. When Mr. Ellis called back he put me on a template web site that looks standard for everyone of their clients and proceeded to tell me that I would have to put up $9000 on a credit card for marketing before proceeding any further with the program.
When I told him that was not explained initially and I was not willing to put up that kind of money to get involved he belittled me and said I didn't understand marketing. When I told him, his firm was not being honest when they make their business pitch he hung up. Apparently both these business Astrastore.com and Corporate Edge Alliance the so-called web site developers are scam artists. I have notified my bank about having my visa card reversed for the $569.00.
