I am Penny Winchester and have been helping Antonina Rubanenko find a job. I placed an ad on Craig's list for a care giver position and got a response from Dr. Mrs. Precious Smith. She said that she and her sister with a 3 year old son would be moving to Antonina's location this Thursday and that she would send a cashier's check for $1,900 ahead of time to buy supplies and pay the rest of the rent and to hold the extra money until they arrived. She has emailed Antonina (me) many times saying that she has checked with USPS and that they had delivered the check. I just received another one today. I respond to Antonina's emails because she does't spell as well as she would like and I try to help her as best I can. It has not been received. I am not responding to any more of her emails. I read about the fraudulent cashier's checks being sent out and people cashing them in good faith and then their banks telling them they are responsible. I have told Antonina not to cash the check just to give it to me.
I have saved all the emails and the ad created for Craig's list if you would like them. I gave them Antonina's address and phone number and I am concerned for her safety.
