Treasure Your Success
Consumer Report

I received a phone call telling me this company could lower my interest rate... I immediately questioned why every time I received a marketing call from them it appeared as a different name and number... The last being the local police department. I was give the answer that they have "no control" over how the calls are routed? I was laughing and listened to their (Inappropriate Content Removed) and told them absolutely NOT would I be interested in their business. I then started researching credit cards myself with 0%APR and applied for a balance transfer with one that offered what I needed in May '12. I was approved and the balance transfer occurred in June '12.in Jan.'13 I received a phone call from Refund Rescue telling me of a potential fraudulent charge on my credit card on May 19, '12 for $993.93 and they could help me get the money back for 45% of what they retrieve and I should just call the credit card co. And ask if the charge occurred. They stated that when people were applying for balance transfers a "computer software" company was scamming people and adding a charge to their account as the transfer was taking place. I called my credit card co. Who told me they couldn't go back into the archives that far, but that a charge of $395.00 had just been added on 12-29-12 for "computer software". I immediately disputed the charges. Refund Rescue called me back, I told them about the current charges and disputed them... The person actually got ANGRY. Saying, I shouldn't have done that and they could have gotten the money back. I got online and looked up the person who charged my account and she had been arrested numerous times, in Florida. The number of this Refund Rescue was a Florida number and the number from the charge in May of $993.93, which I pulled up myself on the computer archives, was also a Florida number... Talk about a scam, it's all connected. They steal your money, call to get it back and take half again... You may think..."How does someone NOT notice a $993.93 charge on their credit card?" Well, in June '12, when I would have received the statement, I was diagnosed with cancer, had surgery, was in the hospital for an extended period and then straight for treatment... So no, I did not catch the charge... Was just glad the stupid card was paid off as then I knew I wouldn't be working. I DID file a police report, however, they said the credit card company "takes care" of prosecuting, etc. I just received a letter from the credit card company and because the May '12 charges are over 120 day old and supposedly "authorized" they will not pay me back or do any further investigating... They did take off the $395.00 charge which I NEVER would have known about as I receive paperless bills, hardly ever check my email, and had a zero balance on that card since it was paid off in June. These people need to go to jail...
