I signed up for a "free" 7 day trial membership on 1/13. I cancelled on 1/16 because I realized I didn't have access to the information the website advertised. I realized my credit card had already been charged $19.95 the day I actually signed up for the "free trial". Shame on me for not checking first, but I later realized the company does not post a phone number and only has a PO Box address. I corresponded with PeopleSmart via email asking for a refund; however, they instead gave me some excuse that I had purchased a background check for $129.95... What? Really? So where does the $19.95 come in? I have since reported them and the charge to my credit card company. I realize we are talking under $20 but still... This is bad business and a bogus "company" as far as I'm concerned and they are making money off unauthorized transactions!
