My family hired BR Movers to move into our new home. After the move, we noticed one item was missing, our computer monitor. We knew we had packed it with the CPU and keyboard. As we continued to set up our rooms, we noticed more missing items; a brand new DVD player, an in-dash navigation system with CD player, the computer mouse and even a box of liquor were missing and the only persons to touch the items were the movers. We realized that they took items that were easily identified because the DVD player, navigation system were in the original boxes and small enough to hide under all the moving blankets and other material that were in the truck. And to think lunch was bought for the movers! Then they overcharged us twice, but we caught both of those transactions! Warning to all, be sure to check the truck before the movers leave and have several people monitoring your move to keep an eye on each person moving your possessions. Also, when packing items, even if they are in original boxes, put them inside other packing boxes so that items are not identified. Even though labeling your boxes in detail can help you unpack more easily, it also helps theives like these pick what they want to keep more easily, so if you can use a coding system or less detail on your boxes, they are less likely to steal.
