Was directed to their website from WinZip to upgrade to v 17 of Winzip. They promptly debited my credit card with $47.90.
The activation code was entered, but didn't work. The error message was that the activation code had already been used. When I went to the Winzip website to log the problem by entering my email address, it did not register this address as being valid. As per the Winzip Activation Instructions:
"1. Start WinZip
2. Type your name and activation code EXACTLY as they appear on your activation acknowledgment email or on the WinZip CD case and click Register
3.in the WinZip Activation Information screen, type the requested information and click OK
4. WinZip will connect to the WinZip server, verify the activation code, and a registration code based upon the name or email address you entered will be issued (and entered into WinZip automatically)
5. A confirmation email, containing the registration information, will also be sent to the email address entered."
No confirmation email was ever received.
I have sent 3 emails to Winzip "Help" over the last 3 weeks, but no one has responded.
