Life Insurance Benefits don't appear to be available after employees death! Employee ripoff

Curious to know if anyone else out there has this problem.

I would love to hear from you. A relative of mine passed away and I am having difficulty collecting his life insurance benefits. Not necessarily understanding why. I am beneficiary and he had a policy. This person worked for Home Depot for several years and these benefits are supposed to be there!
