Consumer Report

Ordered Excelatrim and Total Cleanse products back in November. Early on did not really have a chance to try the products and when I did, discovered that they were pretty useless. I called a couple of times to extend the trial period because of not being able to to jump right into taking the products. I contacted Total Cleanse and canceled and instead of taking the time to send the product back I settled and paid $19.95 instead of the $79 that they are selling the product for (image that, they could actually discount it to a reasonable amount). I asked while on the line with the representative if I could go ahead and do the same for the other product and was told that two different companies handled each product. That was completely not true, because as I just got off the phone with the supervisor Sandi she was able to pull up both transactions and speak specifically to what happened with each.

For the Excelatrim I was told to call back by Dec. 7 to cancel, my notes show that I called back on Dec. 5, and ask that the order be canceled. Now no one sees any record of that call thus my credit card has been charged $85 twice and the only thing that they are willing to do is refund the second order 21 days after receiving the 2nd bottle back.

I think companies who set up and prey on consumers in this way is a disgrace. Leveraging a customers ability or inability to call and cancel a product, verses refunding a charge based on the products effectiveness or usage is what is called a flat out scam. You know that company's have something to hide when customer service supervisors like Sandi tell you that they are not allowed to give the name of the customer service company who was hired to represent the product, or that she could not tell you who her boss is, the owner of the company or any information that allows a customer their right to communicate directly with a company they are spending their money with.

I am going to return the second bottle of the product, but will also have my attorney to research and find out the company that actually administers this scam, additionally I will be contacted the Attorney General's office in Florida and Colorado and just like it was blasted in the media to lure consumers to this scam it can be blasted to warn them against this scam. It's important that consumers know what company's are honorable and which one's are not.
