Bought a horse through Barrelhorseworld.com from James Commander in early October. James said the horse was started on the barrels, had come off the racetrack but hadn't ran very well because he was really green. He guaranteed him sound and says he'd had no soundness issues. Had him shipped to Utah and started riding him. Within a few days he was so sore he could hardly walk. Took him to the vet who did x-rays and told us that he had "slippering of the coffin bone" which is caused by some sort of trauma over a period of time. There is no cure for this. We also consulted with two other vets that told us the same thing. Called Mr. Commander who said that when he got the horse he admitted that he was sore. He said that he would get in contact with the people he bought him from and would call me back. That was over thirty days ago and now he won't answer any calls or emails and won't accept the certified letter that we sent. This gut is a liar, a thief, and a cheat! Stay as far away from him as you can.
