ON 12/16 I received a call form “James Brown” a ‘tech’ with 24sevenpccare. He said they were told to shut down due to complaints and that I was due a refund. I originally charged the service to a credit card. I was told that they would issue a refund through Western Union. I asked them why they couldn’t just do it through the card and was told that it had to do with transfer of international funds. Long story short: used Western Union to try and transfer funds TO India, 5 attempts all blocked. Had to call my bank and deactivate the card. Called Western Union, deactivated account, and reported fraud. Now have to notify all credit bureaus and the feds for possible SSN theft.
Was told by Western Union that this is not the first time this company has done this.
All the transactions were declined by Western Union as well as my bank.
