I am stationed overseas and my family member needed money to pay a bill. So I decided that sending money via Western Union would be a great option. Being that I work long hours and limited access to phones, I thought that my best option would be to send funds via the internet. After setting up an account and successfully sending the transfer, I decided to check my bank account (which is a habit). I noticed that Western Union had charged me twice for the same transaction. I then called the Western Union rep to notify them of the bogus charge. To make a long story short, the representative basically told me that she could not see where they had charged my card at all. I told the rep that I was looking at my bank statement and that I also had a pick up confirmation ant that it would be impossible for them to NOT charge my card and have a successful pick up confirmation. I feel disgusted because whenever you utilize a service such as Western Union, you instill trust in their ability to not rip you off. This is the first and the last time that I will ever use western union. I just want to make people aware that they should watch out for this. Obviously there is a problem with thier internet transactions. So comsumers be aware.
