My wife made a 3 minute collect call from a pay phone. There was no sign stating the rate, she assumed it would be reasonable. She ended up being charged $31.68, more than $10 per minute. No reasonable person should expect such an exorbitant rate for a local phone call. If they want to charge this much they should have to tell you in advance.
