"Guys just wanted to share my story with YOS
YourOwnStore sold me the fraudulent website “http://www.handbagsandshoesdirect.com/” for £4235.00 – claiming that I could earn £51288.00 per annum. Over and above the £4235.00 I have paid £693.00 a month to manage the website hoping that it will increase the number of visitors and I will be able to earn return on my investment. But I have had no results... Of my efforts because the initial business model from YourOwnStore was fraudulent.
I was presented various options from websites to choose by YourOwnStore. The business proposition was presented to me in a very compelling way. But after working on it over 6months I can say it is not a business opportunity but a scam. When I have submitted a complaint to them I don’t hear back from them. From my position it looks like they have given up. I then did some research into the company and have found lots of other people in the similar position as me. I am a low earner so decided to pay for the site on my credit card, I was expected to see a return but instead have had to slowly pay this off from my month on month savings.
I have followed all the training as they asked me to do and worked 9hours a day for 7months. I built all SEO strategy, submitted site in more than 400 web directories, local classifieds sites, Uk online shopping directories and best social book marking sites. I also used Social media optimization such as Face book, Twitter, Pinterest, Blogging and submitted images in Flickr. On my Face book page I daily submitted FB notes (As per YOS training module). I daily researched on my products and their search volume via Google adwords keywords tool and Google insight to create Face book notes. With all these activities on daily bases I expected 50 -60 visit per day on my site but the traffic on my site was never more than 15 visits per day for last 6 months.in these 7 months I received commission of £ 2.33 which was from the purchase done by me as a test infact YOS indicated that my store should earn £51288.00 per annum.
During this period I also faced many technical problems such as slow site speed, YOS frequently kept on updating things due to which many times google bots were not able to crawl my site. More importantly YourOwnStore quote there is a full money back guarantee should the customer not want to proceed this was not the case as I have tried to contact the company on numerous occasions and been unsuccessful!
Overall my conclusion is that YourOwnStore is a fraudulent company selling websites to novice customers with false expectations. This company needs to be closed down.
