Water in my pods unit - pods delivery and customer service

After reading reviews on PODS website and speaking with PODS representative over phone we were excited to rent PODS container to make our move easier but the reality was very different than what was mentioned on their website and as told by PODS representative. The delivery of container was smooth and on time. However, after the container was delivered at my final destination, I found water inside the container damaging my belongings. I had recently bought an expensive mattress right before the move and my other belongings were completely wet with grown mold on them. When I tried to reach PODS by phone they kept on transferring my call from one person to the other and finally after being transferred over and over, I reached a voicemail system in claims department which said to leave a message and someone will return my call within 72 hrs..

After leaving several messages and waiting for several days, when I didn%u2019t get a response, I decided to contact online help and open up a claim. The online representative opened up a claim for me and told me that an investigator will contact me within 72 hrs. Good thing I did it online since now I had a transcript of my conversation with the claim number for what was coming.
After waiting for few days again and not receiving a phone call, I called PODS again and was told that they cannot find my claim and the claim number I gave them is someone else%u2019s claim. I told the representative that I need to talk to a supervisor and was transferred. When the supervisor came on line, I sent him my transcripts of my chat via email. He was shocked to see the mess up himself. He opened up a claim for me again and told me to wait for 72 hrs again.

This time I got a call from Universal insurance regarding my claim. They sent me a form to fill out and send it over to them with details of my damages with pictures. After 20 days of submission of completed form I got an e-mail from the insurance company informing me that their investigator couldn%u2019t find any damage (couldn%u2019t find any reason for water inside) to the PODS container and therefore they are not liable for the damages. When I asked them about a copy of their investigation report, pictures and contact information of their investigator to find out how they couldn't find anything they refused to provide the evidence and said they will re investigate it.

A person purchases insurance to make sure that the will be paid if their belongings are damaged. PODS was very quick to sell me the insurance but now what? My claim is still pending and I wish I would have known that PODS is not a good idea for moving statewide.
