We have not been unhappy with the actual service WM has provided us all these years, but with the fact that their fees continually increased more than the norm. I found we were paying $50-200 more a year than any of our neighbors, including those with WM. Last week our neighborhood asked 4 disposal services to give us a group rate. WM was not even close to what the other services were willing to give us. When I called to cancel our service, I was kept on hold for 10 minutes so that a "retention specialist" could "patch in" to persuade us to stay with them. Finally, I was told that we could not get a refund for the remainder of the quarter— but& they did offer us a rate of $8 per month to keep us as clients! (We had been paying 27 per month not counting yard waste) Wow. As I said, we've been with WM for longer than almost all of the current residents on this street and have been paying more than any of them. Perhaps if WM had offered us a loyalty rate sooner, they wouldn't be loosing all their clients on this street to Duncan.
