I inquired with Next Steps Webs LLC about a website I needed built. They were very fast at responding to my initial email and were very quick about getting a quote sent to me. I thought this was great and went ahead with the deal. They required a $237.50 deposit before they would start the work. I had never had any other web design company ask for something like this. I sent a check over and thought I would have a working website within a few months. When we had our initial meeting they said it would be finished within 2-3months. I waited and waited and nothing. I sent an email to the designer and he stated " the main body of the website is almost done but I am still working on other features. It should only take a few more weeks." I sent a email to him almost every other week asking for an update and I would always get the same response. After 5 months of waiting and no updates on the progress of the site other than its almost done I gave up. I sent an email to the owner of the company asking for them to refund my deposit. He responded back within 24hours and said that the deposit was non-refundable and that they website was done and all that I need to do was pay an additional $645.52 and he will give me the files. I was never notified that the website was complete and I find it funny that he says it was after I demanded a refund. This company is a SCAM and I will not give them another dime. I have spoken with an attorney and the law firm will be sending them a certified letter. The owner of the company just sent me an email this evening stating he would not speak with me any more about this issue and I need to submit a final payment. I have not seen any of the product and they are now being very rude and not wanting to work with the customer. Very bad business practice.
