I wanted closing ceremony tickets and when I googled for them the first 12 searches came up as www.livelyolympictickets.com. I went to the site and ordered 4 tickets for 595 each costing me a total of 2666. As soon as my credit card was charged I suspected something wrong as no email confirmed the payment. I informed my credit card company straight away and they said the money was immediately taken by someone in Barcelona. However I saved the following message from their website when the payment had gone through.
Order Number: 362523 Dear Tariq Mahmood, Thank you for buying at LiveOlympicTicketsYour order is pending. We will verify your payment within next few hours (up to 24 hours). The tickets you ordered are in stock and ready to be shiped once we verify the payment. Once the payment is verified, we will send you an email confirmation, and your order will be in status Paid. Your order is final, no changes, cancellations or refunds can be made. For any changes regarding your shipping details, please contact our Traffic Department: [email protected]
Please note that you can track your order status by logging on to your Account History and clicking the relevant order number. For any queries regarding your order, please contact us by email. We hope to serve you again in the nearest future.
I emailed them but there was no reply, no tickets have been sent and no website exists any more.
Someone had the nerve to call me yesterday asking for a copy of my credit card and ID card which they said they needed to release my tickets. I told them to refund my money and the reply I got was 'well contact your credit card company'. I was furious and told them to email me asking for these details but obviously no mail was to come.
