I completely agree with everything the first victim wrote. Actually, it is almost scary how this woman scammed us in exactly the same way.
I answered an ad on a court reporting job site. Did a couple of months of work for her. Pay was horrible but I also was just getting started and needed experience. She didn't even really care about the work I was doing.
I did not sign any contract with her, I don't think, but OMG I also had to fill out some Federal forms because she had some big contract coming up. That's the part that really scares me.
Excuse after excuse for not paying. I think I will never see that money but I would like to know where all of my confidential information has gone. I feel like such a fool for ever getting involved with her.
The only good news is that it's been about a year since I foolishly sent those forms, and as far as I can tell, nothing has popped up re: identity theft or fraud. But I still worry.
