On april I saw a charge on my bank account for 159.95 from EDP Reporting. When I called I explained to Jasmine that I had been a victim of identity theft and that this was a fraudulent charge. She said that all I had to do is send a copy of the charge from my bank account showing the charge and fill out a form that she would fax me.
Well. That is as far as we have gotten. I have been given the runaround for the last 3 months. First they told me that they did not receive all the forms that they asked me to fax, yet, after I had faxed the forms I called Jasmine and she said that she had everything that she needed for the moment.
A month later I called again to check on the status of this issue and I was told that the police officer had not come to a determination of this being fraud. I called the officer and said that this case was opened and closed within a couple of days.
I called EDP again and they lied to me by telling me the opposite of what the officer had told me. I have had a series of emails that contradict Jasmine from one message to the other. When I have questioned this the only response that I get is "The officer had not made a determination on this case".
This seems to me like a cookie cutter answer. I have offered to participate in a conference call with the officer and Jasmine. Yet Jasmine says they do not have 3-way calling capabilities only after I called several times to get this done.
I will now file complaints with the BBB, the Texas Attorney General, my bank, and the California Attorney General.
Be aware of charges from this company. 3 months later and I still have not gone past the response that the officer has not made a determination eventhough this is the opposite.
All my disputes after the identity theft have been resolved (were resolved within a couple of days of contacting the corresponding companies). EDP Reporting keeps giving me the runaround and conflicting information every time.
The good thing is that I have made it a point to email instead of call for the most part so I have everything well documented once the proper authorities want to see if I have evidence of my complaint.
