I moved into my apartment (who provides basic cable) the 16th of March. When I went to pickup equip the clerk tried to charge me. I finally got that resolved. That equip supposedly was faulty (per comcast help line) I had to take equip in to exchange. The same clerk argued. When I held my ground she ripped the wires from the old box and threw the new in a bag and told me my outlet was on. (there are five in my livingroom alone!) She told me to try each one till I found the one that was on and use it. I told her I was not moving my wall unit and she said I'd have to or pay to have the outlet I wanted to use turned on. I called the apt office to confirm. They said they pay for cable I should not be charged to have the outlet turned on. I tried the new box to no avail. The comcast clerk was extremely rude, and I'm TIRED of trying to get cable! I'm sure if I pay some kind of money I will eventually get cable (?!)
