It took this company almost a year to "complete" my website. They originally told me it would take 4-6 weeks

I hired this company in feb to redesign my website. I was told it should take 4-6 weeks to complete it was a disaster from the beginning. They started out quickly having me fill out forms and answering questions. After that, nothing. My first designer took 2 weeks to get back to me, only to ask for information I had already provided. His first draft was something that I said I didn't want, cartoons. I had to hand feed him everything, effectively doing the design myself. When I complained I was given 2 more designers. They introduced themselves and then I didn't hear from them for weeks. When I would say something they would say they expected to hear from me. I did work with one manager to work on a design but she transferred to another area. When I complained again, one of the owners, Sheila Relingespoke with me and promised me that she would help me. She promised that she, herself, would get it done. She even gave me her cell phone number. She came up with a few ideas that were terrible and then threw it back in my lap. After that she stopped returning my phone calls and emails. Several times I asked for my money back in exchange for stopping the process but she refused. I tried contacting anyone I could find to talk to. Finally a new "designer" was assigned to me. He proved better than the rest. He actually got something done, although I basically designed the site. It didn't go live until December 23 and that was because the designer was going away for a month and I knew no one else would work on it. But I was told last minute that because they would be hosting the site, my email would have to be moved. It was rushed and I didn't have access to my email for 5 days over the Christmas holiday, the busiest weekend for my company. Clients couldn't get ahold of me and no one was available to help. After the holiday all I got from the company were excuses as to why they were not responsible. Their email system is another matter that I don't have the time or energy to discuss. At this point the system was live so I had to learn how to maintain it. I had one training session which wasn't enough. When I asked for another one I got it but with a lecture, treating me as if I were in pre-school. It's amazing how quickly they forgot what they put me through for the past year. The site is ok but I would have liked to have made it better. It was obvious that they had no intention of doing anymore work on it. I am supposed to get a year of free hosting and optimization but I don't believe that will happen. I've asked the designer to look into the optimization but all he will say is it takes time. Every time I trusted this company I got burned. I think their attitude is to take your money and then stall the work long enough so you will give up and go away. I will have to pay someone else to improve the site in the future. They even sent me a bill for the year of hosting and when I objected they said they were mistaken. A new person there made a mistake.
