I was trying to buy a program to diagnose and fix active x faults on my computer. The call was intercepted
By someone who said I had to be transferred to Microsoft 35 Institute. The person there took control of my computer and found (allegedly) 2000 bugs, then my wife's computer. Thgey ofered to fix and monitor my computedr for $790 for 3 years. They found worms and trojans. It was a hard sell and they would return control of my or my wife's computers for about an hour. Then they called back and offered the same service for 400 dollars. It seems like a total scam as they would not provide a casse number or a name or even a call-back number. Now I see there is a 39.95 charge on my credit card plus a $795 charge for the service that I rejected. These charges will be disputed.
