Yep, I also bought a 17" monitor from FRYS, and was duped into believing I'd get a rebate. Now, more than THREE months later, NO rebate, and NO satisfaction. I called FRYS this morning, December 29 (the Anaheim store), and was presented with the following rant by one of their employees:
Well, sir, we are not responsible for rebates. I suggest you call 411, get the number to the company, and take it up with time... Good bye. (click)
So, what we have here is a disreputable company, LiKOM, being represented by a disreputable company, FRYS, and no satisfaction for anyone. Anyone interested in picketing both LIKOM and FRYS??? I, for one, will be reporting both to the Better Business Bureau, and everyone I know who buys computer equipment. The message from FRYS and LIKOM is clear: Screw all of you! It's time to fight back.
