I purchased a Pontiac am/fm casette stereo for my Grand Am. Auction listed it was working, and if theft code was needed they would provide.
I paid $30 for it in total with shipping and received right away. However, I installed the stereo and the theft activation was activayed and they sent me no code. As well as that about 30 seconds after seeing that the display led went dead and then the whole thing was dead. It was a real piece of junk to begin with. I contacted them 12 times over the period of one week to finally get an answer. (I was told to keep calling back and ask for Brandon or Ron) Ron finally communicated with me.
They did not call me but I had to call them again! Ron told me to send the item back and I would be given another for replacement. So I agreed to that. I took my package of the not as advertised piece of junk they sold me to the Post Office. I shipped it standard USPS mail with no tracking or insurance. It cost me $4.55 to mail it back to them. (out of my pocket-for some reason they wanted a dead radio back, probably to resell to some other poor victim)
After a month of never hearing from them or receiving the replacement, I bought another new radio to put in my Pontiac that worked like new!!! And I even paid half the price!!!:)
Now back to the unethical scam artists at Bass Sales. (ebay id bass_sales)
I contacted them after a month and half later and they claimed to have never received my package. They refused to call me back, and I was even hung up on twice from their outstanding quality customer service of some lady that has no idea of what business she works for. Finally after severa, and I mean several emails, I was told Ron no longer worked for them and they weren't aware of the situation. How convenient.
SO I explained in an email everything that took place. Their response was continuous emails asking for a track # and the name of the company I used to ship it with. I repeatedley told these morons over and over that it was sent USPS with no tracking. I explained this about 5 or 6 times to the same person who continues to ask me the same questions... Talk about porpusely frustrating someone.
3 Months later I still have nothing to show for the $36 total with shipping that these scam artist took from me.
STAY AWAY from these ignorant people... They just want to steal your money and do everything possible to make life hectice afterwards. I have filled with Paypal but Paypal wont refund my money since I did receive the item, thats what I get for honesty. I have filed with eBay, but that gets you nowhere fast. I have now filed on here to help buyers know and will be filing soon with the California State consumer protection agency. I know $30 isn't that much but the way these scum bags do business is enough to provoke me to take it to small claims court... But we'll see if anything can happen before that step.
