Hi,
I and my five friends bought six SMC BARRICADE WIRELESS routers from Canadacomputers.com all the way back in mid- september. The deal was $169.99 total and then a $70 canadian mail in rebate effectively costing us only 99.99 CAD. I mailed in my rebate on 5 October even though the closing date for the offer was 21 november. I once in a while checked on their website about the status of my rebate.
Finally, they said they received it on 5 december and it was being processed and mailed out the same day according to their website. I waited all december, and in mid february i called them saying that you mailed a check and I never received it. They said that i should wait 60 days after the posting date of the check and then call. I waited 58 days and called. The rep said I need to call after 2 more days which i did. To my surprise, they told me that the offer is now closed and the processing center cannot do anything about it anymore. I was advised to contact SMC, the manufacturer of the retailer.
H*ll, I know better it that it is not their responsibility and that I was being hoodwinked. I asked them to speak to their supervisor and to my surprise, they said they work fine unsupervised. Finally after getting frustrated I called the SMC headquarters and talked to the customer rep who finally mailed me and my friends a check from SMC.
TCA Fulfillment Services is simply a bunch of shit and now I know better to keep an eye out for such crap rebate offers. I will never buy products that have those rebates with them and I hope you do too.
