Fraudulent debit of bank account, again after two years, lied and said no record that I had ever cancellled service

Two years after cancelling my service both by phone and by mail (finally had to change my bank account/credit card # to get these *%$#"$%* people to stop billing me) I have started getting charges against my checking account again. HOW did they get that information? A friend who has had similar trouble with EarthLink (PeoplePC's parent company) says that all People PC has to do is change one digit in their authorization code with the bank, and can start it all over again as long as I have an account within the same bank.

Evidently they have continued these fraudulent billing practices even after several class action lawsuits over the same, as my troubles began in and the lawsuits occurred in '07 & '08.

On the phone this time, the woman (said her name was Chris) who was obviously not American by her accent, claimed that there was no record of my ever having called to cancel the account. After two years, I didn't have the confirmation number readily available (stored somewhere on a backup hard-drive, I hope). This time the information is filed in with the pertinent sections of Regulation E regarding credit card disputes!

She had the audacity to tell me that I would be getting billed for another month of internet usage this month, but that they wouldn't be sending me a confirmation email because I didn't have an email address. Is that not an admission that I don't have an account with them? I have sent a formal complaint to my state's attorney general's office, and will be raising holy h*ll with my bank in the morning.
