I searched online and found this site after I had a
very unpleasant experience with West Los Angeles Circuit city Store last Sunday 1/4. This goes back to Chrismas shopping.
On 12/23, My wife and I were shopping on Circuit city. I bought a brand new 160G western digital hardisk then. I never used it and I didn't even open the box. And last Sunday, 1/4, I felt I don't really need it thhough it is really cheap after rebate and so I took it back to the West Los Angeles store, trying to return it.
The associate there wanted to open the box to check. I even told him that I didn't open the box, trying to save time, because I was planning to go to play basketball game with my friends. When he pulled away the plastic
sheeve outside the box, opened it and checked it, he told me to wait. After sometime, he came back with a manager.
The manager told me very unkindly that it was a floppy drive inside the box. And they cannot take it back. I told him that I didn't even open the box and the associate opened the box right there just a minute ago.
Well, he said it is easy to put the package and plastic sheeve back, looking at me as if I was a thief and I swapped the item. I felt I was so much humiliated and was
out of anger. After some argument with him, I only got a
claim tel number back. And the next day, which is Monday,
I got up around 9:30 and called the number and after 10 minutes' waiting and I filed a claim with a lady. She told me she will go to the store and look into it and get back to me 24-48 hours.
I gave her all my numbers, home #, cell # and office #. Until this morning, Wednesday, I didn't have any response. So I called again, this time, the other lady, after putting me on hold for some time, told me she is going to get back to in 24 hours. I was not happy with it and still agreed. Now I am waiting for their reply. I will update this report in the next few days.
