I have recently bought a website on Flippa.com from this person. After I had bought www.intensivecourse.org for 520 USD i was "upgraded" to an online financial services provider. All I had to do was transfer back the intensive course site and pay another 1100 USD, for total of 1620.00 USD. The second payment took place on December 4th.
I involved Paypal at the end of December after I still was without the sold site/business. Within minutes he was chatting and emailing with me, making me believe that everything was going according to plan but I really needed to close the Paypal issue for him to proceed.
I did as he requested.
After that again the same as before. Nothing!
So I attempted to reopen the Paypal issue and to my surprise, you cant do it a second time. He knew that obviousely...
Now I contacted him to tell him that if he doesn't come through on the deal, i will be forced to complain with Flippa, a website selling business, where he sold me.
His answer surprised me, it was as follows:
"Dear Sir,
I am not affiliated with Flippa anymore. And that has nothing to do with Flippa as Flippa can not stop me from selling my products outside Flippa as I am not selling with Flippa anymore. And if selling outside Flippa is wrong, buying outside of Flippa can not be right.
Thanks"
After reading this I submitted my compliaint to Flippa and saw that this guy had in the meantime been banned from the site!
When I did a little more research online, I find this guy ranting on forums that he was banned from Flippa because "they are Racist"!
Obviousely it looks like I made a bad judgement call and i am out 1600 USD because of it.
I decided to post this to protect others from falling into the same trap.
For myself, I have filed the complaint with Flippa, Visa, and will write to Paypal to still report the incident as unresolved, I am posting here, and other online fraud prevention avenues, such as FBI and Scottland Yard...
It would be much easier for me to just write this off and move on but ther is just too much of this going on and if I can prevent one person from having the same experience it was worth my time.
His last email to me after i will post here read:
