I don't know where to start as this has been ongoing, since day one, starting with the installation day when I was told he couldn't get a signal. "Sorry, no service, hope you didn't cancel Comcast". After speaking with a neighbor a few weeks later, I went into my local at&t store. I was asked if I had an afternoon appointment. I said yes and both people at the counter laughed and explained, sometimes the contractors don't want to stay late, so they do that.
Anyways I was given a morning appointment and did have uverse installed.
I didn't receive a bill the first month, but didn't really realize it until I got a computer call telling me if my bill was not paid now I would lose service.
Several calls later, (when I called I had no account number, so they couldn't find my account) I found out they were sending my bills to the wrong city.
A few months went by and I added internet service to my account. They wanted $150.00 install fee and I said no, I have a wireless laptop and know they don't have to do anything, in fact they were going to do it over the phone. She said "no worry" she spoke to the manager and he approved the fee would be removed.
That didn't happen either, but when I called back they took care of it.
It was around then that my service was going out randomly. The TV screen would freeze and if I was online it would knock me off.
I thought this was probably something they would work out, that u-verse was fairly new. Not... It got worse as time went on, it would go out for 45 minutes at a time. This went on almost a month and I called.
They had a technician talk to me over the phone. He said he could see error after error and that there was a problem they would send out someone.

The fourth service man who actually fixed the problem assured me I would be given some sort of credit. He found that my service was in a bridge gap and was bouncing all over the place. I did not have a direct line of service.
Since the credits promised were not given, I called last week and was instructed to call today to get my adjusted charge for the month of crappy service.
I got the service person from hell.

(Linda). She told me to be quiet so she could repeat the charges that were credited that I had in front of me.
Now, my balance was $20.00 more than my monthly service fee was suppose to be. Forget about a credit. She said they gave me a whole 34.00 credit for a month of interupted service.
When I asked why my bill was so much she said they raised my rate!
What? I have had service for around 3 months and they raised it?
She kept repeating the 150.00 credit. That was supposed to be removed 2 months ago. That had nothing to do with this. She refused to help me. I told her I was going back to comcast and would advise my neighbors as I live in a condo and we have 2 choices. I was so happy when I heard about u-verse. I couldn't wait to get rid of comcast. Ha Ha. I am disabled and have a very strict budget. I can't afford to have my bill going up every month.
I thought after all of the crap I put up
with that AT&T would do be more than happy to adjust my bill. I advertised for them. I am sorry I did that. Everyone up until today was very nice. The service men were the best. Too bad the customer service isn't.
Linda shouldn't have a job in customer service. Now I am stuck going back to comcast.
