I signed up for a 14 day "free trial" membership with bluemountain.com. This is a e-greeting card website.in signing up, I had to disclose my bank card number for payment. I called their 800# to cancel my "trial" membership on the 14th day and was still charged the $19.99 year membership fee on my debit card. I tried to call their 800 "customer service" number and all that turned out to be was a series of "recorded" information. One cannot access a live human being on their 800 #. I then proceeded to send them an email advising them that I did indeed cancel the "trial" membership on the 14th day... I received an email back saying that I had not canceled in time and that the money is non-refundable.
A 14 day trial is just that... 14 days to decide if you want the service or not... I canceled on the 14th day. The fact that I am unable to get a hold of anyone by telephone and the fact that they have refused to respond to a 2nd email has led me to file a complaint not only with consumer complaints but the Ohio Better Business Bureau as well.
It appears that this is not the first time this has happened with this company and now I have to wait up to 6 weeks for a resolution.
Do not do business with bluemountain.com.
