I joined factoidz.com thinking i could make a few extra bucks writing articles in my spare time. Boy, was i wrong! I must have submitted 30 articles and the first 12 were published, and got hundreds of views the first week, but the rest of my 20 or so articles disappeared from my pending articles list within about a month or so, never to be published. They didn't reject them or return them to me to edit, or anything like that. They simply disappeared! Also, they claim they pay anywhere from $1-$5 per 1000 views, but that's not the case. At least not for me. I have to date over 1000 views and just today i hit the $1 mark. I've been earning approx. 1-cent for every couple of dollars i brought in. But, i'm not complaining about the money, per se. I'm here to warn people about their customer service. Their non-existant customer service, i should say. I emailed them several times requesting they cancel / close my factoidz account, but never got a response from them.
Then something totally weird happened—i decided to get help on their message boards / forums, so i posted a question, asking how to close my factoidz account, and lo and behold, a few days later found my question in the forums was deleted! Then something even stranger happened, well, it didn't actually happen HAPPEN, but when i tried googling "close factoidz account" i couldn't find ANY information on the internet on how to close my factoidz account! Imagine, if it's not on google, it's nowhere! What's up with this company, anyway? Why do they make closing your account so hard? Impossible, is more the word! Is there anyone out there who knows how to close a factoidz account? I'd be ever so grateful! I must say, they did pay me my 6-cents the first month. So, i guess it's not a total rip-off. But it would be nice to be able to talk to someone in customer service or have the option of closing your factoidz account. Anyone who wants to join, beware! They'll publish the first 10-12 articles quickly, but if you write more than a couple a day, your articles will mysteriously disappear into thin air, without warning and without any kind of explanation! If you're reading this complaint factoidz.com, i beg you, please close my factoidz account! You can keep the buck you owe me and all my articles! And thanks for listening.:-D
