Oracle Corporation is engaging in a bait and switch scam by advertising for a feature rich Oracle Open Office suite but limiting the purchaser to the download of an open documents application, StarOffice, the equivalent of the free OpenOffice suite. When confronted with this blatant act of fraud, Oracle attempts to assert that its series of different EULAs give it a right to engage in such fraud.
This is disgraceful and petty conduct on the part of this software oligarch who has eliminated reputable competition in order to embrace the sleazy business practices that it is now involved in. Let the buyer beware!
