Dreamhost.com is a total scam. They make you pay a year in advance and then when you cancel they don't give you a refund.
Stay away from this company. All the good hosting companies offer low monthly service rates (not Dreamhost) Dreamhost make you pay a year in advance. I cancelled because they have no phone support (all the major hosting companies offer phone support). When I cancelled they gave me a credit if I ever want to come back. Imagine that, I cancelled service and they keep the unused portion as a parting gift.
Also out of the 4 hosting services I use, these guys go down a lot—meaning if you use them, plan on several outages on your website.
