Unknown to me until I opened my T-Mobile bill did I find out that I had been a member of Predicto for about an hour. Upon calling the Predicto toll free number (800) 360-0518) I found that I likely reacted to a pop-up while on a job search service web site. The "customer service" agent told me that the fee was $9.99 a month regardless of how long - as she put it: "1 minute, 1 hour or 1 day or 1month, the fee is $9.99. Their would be no exceptions or deviationsfrom the costs associated with membership".
While thinking I was completing a form for the job search service, I was actually supplying information to Predicto. Other than to "catch" unsuspecting people, why would Predicto be associated with a job search service web site?
I'm unemployed with a mortgage payment, trying to frugally buy Christmas gifts and get ripped off by Predicto while searching for a job online. It just doesn't same right, if you ask me. I know that I was not the first and most certainly won't be the last person that unknowingly becomes a member of Predicto. At $9.99 person, it's not chump change.
On the day I became a "member", I recall receiving an unknown text and immediately researched and cancelled whatever it was I had done on line.
What a rip-off!!! Just say NO to Predicto!!
