I am writing this to tell you about my experience with ID Communication. 302 Washington Street #725 San Diego, California 92103 USA

ID Communications principles are: Ian Lewinter and Don Richmond.
My project with them was a DISASTER. They lied to me, threatened me, raised the price by 50%, never made a single deadline throughout the entire process, cheated me out of my money and did not complete the project after 4 MONTHS of terrible service and unbelievable stress.in addition, their communication was horrendous. They would ignore me for weeks at a time and would actually get angry at me for calling them and emailing them find out why they were not answering me. I started an $8,000 project with them which called for a 50 page website, creative for all the pages and back end database. This project went on for six months in which time they raised the price of the project by 50% after promising that the project would not exceed $8,000. This is a little bit strange considering I gave them a complete model of the website which I built in excel. They were able to see a complete design of the site that laid out all of the logic, the entire layout and every single buttons location, yet they still raised the price of the project by 50% and in the end they did not complete the project. My website had more than 50 pages.in the end, ID Communication ONLY DID THE CREATIVE FOR THE HOMEPAGE AND THEN THEY POCKETED MY ENTIRE DEPOSIT OF $4,000. When I pressed them to actually finish their work and meet their obligation, the companys principal Ian Lewinter THREATENED ME. He refused to give me back any of my money or even give me the creative which I was owed. I had to threaten him with legal action to actually get the ONE PAGE OF CREATIVE HE ACTUALLY FINISHED AFTER 4 MONTHS! I am currently in the process of suing ID Communication to get my money back. This is a timeline of all of my interactions with both ID Communications and WinterSky. All of these line items can be verified by emails that ID Communications, WinterSky and I have in our possession. I would be more than happy to talk to you about them if you like.
? 6/24/09 I makes payment of 50% of total project value as deposit. Ian tells I to give them a week and promises to get back to him with the initial creative designs.
? 7/1/09 One week later, after not hearing back, I write an email to Id asking for an update. This email was completely ignored.
? 7/8/09 After still not hearing from Id for yet another week, I write yet another email asking for update. Ian finally writes back and tells me that Don will have the creative ready between 7/15/09 or 7/17/09. (That is almost three weeks after the project had been started! I worked at a consulting company that did this and I can tell you that this should have taken one week max.)
? 7/18/09 Id finally delivers the first round of creative.
? 7/22/09 I got back to Id with the feedback needed for the second round of corrections. ID gives me no deadline for when they will follow up with the second round of revision.
? 7/27/09 After hearing nothing from Id for a week, I send them an email asking them when I can see the next round of revisions.
? 7/29/09 Id gets back to me and tells me We have an internal review scheduled for Thursday the 30th and are planning to have the next round of creative to present to you on the 3rd of August.
? 8/4/09 Having still not heard back from Id, I send an email and asks them when I can see the second round. Ian says they have to push back the presentation one day because they are very busy. I say, that will be ok.
? 8/5/09 Ian: As for doing the presentation, when I said "push back" a day I meant presenting the next round to you tomorrow, our day: Wednesday. This is completely not true, but I play along for the sake of peace. I tell them another 24 hours will be ok.
? 8/6/09 Meeting happens and second round of creative is delivered.
? 8/7/09 I send feedback for creative and ask for a timeline for the website development.
? 8/14/09 Id delivers final round of creative with changes. They also provide a timeline which says the following. 8/21/09 - Creative skin will be added to a working demo site. 9/11/09 - Initial Website Demo can be seen.
? 8/22/09 Id has still not skinned the website.instead they tell me that the date I can view the site is 8/27/09.
? 8/28/09 Id sends a link to me with the skinned website. It looks like it was slapped together at the last minute.
? 9/11/09 Although this is the final delivery date, the website is still not complete. ID does not give me any further deadlines for the completion of the website. I follow up with them to no avail. At this point, their communication with me completely falls off.
? 9/29/09 ID sends me an email informing him that the total cost of the project has been increased by 50%. This is after I told them that THIS CANNOT HAPPEN. I DONT HAVE THE MONEY.
? 10/06/09 After spending a week trying to figure out how to raise the additional capital, I responds to Id with his solution which includes a payment plan. Id responds immediately and both sides agree to terms which include a contract. (There is no way I am giving them more money without a contract.)
? 10/10/09 Ian writes: I don't have a contract but will pull together on this weekend. I suggest that we get started!
? 10/12/09 I send a reminder to Id to please send contract quickly so that project and payment can proceed.
? 10/13/09 Ian sends a revised estimate, NOT A CONTRACT.
? 10/16/09 After recovering from intestinal infection, I respond to Ian and ask for a contract, not another estimate.
? 10/17/09 Ian responds that he will send the contract on Monday 10/19/09
? 10/20/09 After blowing the deadline, I send a reminder email to ID about the contract. Ignored.
? 10/21/09 I send a reminder email to ID about the contract. Ignored.
? 10/22/09 I send a reminder email to ID about the contract. Then, I receives an email from ID communication telling him that they have no intention of signing a contract and if I dont pay them the additional money soon, they will delete all of the work they completed for the site and consider the project finished. Oh yea, and they are keeping my money.
? 10/23/09 Even though Ian actually screamed at me over the phone reapeating the phrase How about NO! I react calmly and seek out one of IDs sub contactors, Winter Sky to act as an intermediary. After a discussion between Winter Sky and ID, Ian agrees to let me write the contract.
? 10/23/09 I send the contract to Ian.
? 10/28/09 After not hearing back from ID for A WEEK, I send yet another email to ID asking for an update.
? 10/29/09 I receive the following email from Ian. We did receive your proposed contract but after the first paragraph of the e-mail itself, we chose not to read on. So this is where we are. You have two choices, and I'm not interested in having another conversation about this: 1. You edit our invoice to your satisfaction and pay the next installment. 2. Pay us the balance of the original 8k and we will hand over the files. Either way, we would like to know today what you intent to do. Ian
? 10/29/09 Although I was incredibly pissed off, still managed to react calmly, assuming that Ian is just being an emotional as always, and seek out one of IDs sub contactors, Winter Sky, to act as an intermediary. After a discussion, Winter Sky agrees to manage the relationship and talk to emotional Ian.
? 10/29/09 Winter Sky sends a revised version of the contract which he thinks everyone can agree too and things start to look up.
? [10/30 12:55: 03 AM] Ian LeWinter writes: Please be advised that Winter Sky has NO authorization to negotiate on behalf of ID and all of the things you are doing with your contract are a waste of time. ID will not sign the contract and if you don't respond to my e-mail today we are going to consider this job completed and take the steps to end our relationship.
? 10/31 I have absolutely no choice. I am forced to break the relationship with ID.
Assuming that their actions would probably get them sued, ID attempts to force me provide them with a document releasing them from harm. If I did not, they threatened to delete all of my creative and keep the money.in the end, they did keep my money! I felt like ID was blackmailing me. I had to find a way to get out and get something out this disaster.in the end, ID Communications kept my $4000 dollar deposit and only gave me one of the earlier versions of the creative for the website homepage. As I mentioned before, this was a 50 page website and they ONLY DID THE CREATIVE FOR ONE PAGE AND IT TOOK 4 MONTHS. Ian Lewinter, the main principal at ID Communication has unbelievable anger management problems. His attitude toward me and my project was totally unprofessional and completely out of control. He lied to me, ignored me, threatened me, yelled at me and finally robbed me out of HALF OF MY LIFE SAVINGS. If you are thinking about working with this company please contact me first. I can prove every single point that I have written in this email by forwarding you emails and communications that ID communications and Ian Lewinter have sent to me.
